Apartamentos Pinomar

Of all the places I stayed on the island, this was my favorite. It’s tucked among the pine trees, which was its biggest charm for me. The staff were friendly and attentive to the rooms. I’d definitely come back.

The cabin was very well equipped, even down to things like dish soap and an iron. It’s modern, cozy, and well cared for, with plenty of space. The beds are big, soft, and really comfortable. The bathroom is also very spacious, though there’s no bidet. For me, it’s excellent.

The first part of our stay was okay: the place was dated but functional, 3.5 km from a beautiful beach, and the staff were polite and professional. The last two nights were a nightmare because of a cockroach infestation. The staff tried to help and let us sleep in another room on the final night, but the problem wasn’t solved. I go on holiday to relax, and instead spent two nights dealing with insect extermination. I hope this was just a one-off, but I don’t think I’d return.

We don’t recommend staying here, even though the apartment is well located and inexpensive for Formentera. My friends and I found three cockroaches in under 24 hours: one in the bathroom, one in the bedroom, and one in the kitchen while we were making dinner, which is the one in the photo. To me, cockroaches point to poor hygiene. We have one more night left, and they still haven’t offered a solution or even answered our calls.
