Cas Saliners - La Savina

We’ve come back to Sa Saliners in La Savina (Aviació) for another year. The staff are very attentive, and the charming cottages are fantastic. It’s a peaceful spot with just the right amount of space for a few lovely days. You can walk to the port, and all the beaches on the way to the salt mill are only two minutes away. We’ll be back!

The house was spotless and had everything we needed. The cleaning team were lovely, and the office staff were very helpful. They let us check in early and check out later to fit our ferry connection. It’s also in a great spot close to the port. If I return to Formentera, and I will, I’ll definitely book with them again.

We pre-booked the same house for the same dates the following summer on August 8, 2025. When we wrote on October 22nd to confirm, they said no because a previous client wanted those dates, even though that client hadn’t been there when we stayed that summer. Their only offer was to change our dates. I couldn’t believe it and pushed for other solutions. All they came up with was a house with low ceilings that make me feel claustrophobic. No other option, no further explanation. That’s why I’m writing this on November 5th… It’s a shame that such dishonest management adds to turning this wonderful island into a hostile place, where it seems you can only play if you have a knife in one hand and a wad of cash in the other. What a tiresome dynamic.

The houses are cozy and have all the amenities you need for a short stay, and the reception staff are lovely. We found ours hard to locate at first: it’s one of the houses in La Savina, reached from the port by a small staircase. Once we found it, the location was perfect. We go every year and will definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything.
