The best part was the stillness: cicadas, goat bells, and the odd "ee-haw" or "baa" around a pretty stone house, with a gorgeous view of the Tramuntana mountains. We had a wonderful week at this little finca among the olive groves of Fornaltux. Sheep pass by in the morning, kept out of the garden by fences, and after dark you can spot geckos warming themselves on the stone walls. They're cute little natural mosquito control. The house has pretty much everything: a kitchen with a gas stove, oven, pizza oven, fridge, microwave, kettle, Nespresso machine, regular coffee maker, basic dishes, and a big dining table. There's a living room with a fireplace, sofa, TV with Netflix, Wi-Fi, and fan. The bathroom has regular and rain showers, hot water, a hairdryer, washing machine, iron and board, clothes rack, and towels. The bedroom has two beds, wardrobe, satellite TV, and fan. There's even a beach umbrella. Windows have mosquito screens. Outside, there's a terrace with two loungers, a big parasol, outdoor shower, sunshade, dining table with sun protection, and barbecue. Toni kept in touch as we travelled and greeted us warmly at 1:45 a.m. despite our flight being delayed by three hours. He took his time showing us around and was always there for advice or help. The lane up to the finca is narrow, unpaved, and steep, but our Opel Corsa E rental managed fine as long as we drove slowly. It's an easy drive to supermarkets and nice restaurants in Fornaltux and Soller, and about 15 minutes to Port de Soller and its sandy beach. There are walks, sights, coves, and activities nearby, then you can return to the quiet in the evening. We'll definitely be back!!! Muchas Gracias Antonia & Toni
