Absolutely horrible.
I stayed at Áncora Foz hostel from August 1st to 15th with Group 8 of the foundation, and I really didn't like it. The food and cleanliness both left a lot to be desired. The beds were bunk beds, and with two herniated disks I couldn't climb to the top, so regular beds would have worked better for me. The treatment also bothered me. During breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Lili would leave the door open. I asked her to close it because we were freezing, but she called me a "girl" three times and didn't listen. She said it couldn't be closed because the previous group had all come down with the flu. Later, when I went downstairs to the bathroom while she was cleaning, she called me a girl again. Lili also said the sanitary pad bin was full of our pads and that we had to change the trash when it filled up, even though she was the one cleaning it.
The service was very good, but there was hardly any security. The same password opened every room, and you could get into them through the shared bathroom. We had booked a room for four through Booking.com, but were put in a dorm for twelve. When we raised it, the manager said a private room would cost €30 extra and that they were already booked. Very disappointing.
My son came back from the weekcamp traumatized and vomiting. The food was awful, and the place was so filthy it looked like a stable. I wouldn't send children there if you don't want them treated like farm animals.
