The balcony is the nicest part: it faces the ocean, with soft waves in the background and a lovely trade breeze. The area is peaceful, though a little remote, and the apartment has plenty of cooking gear and basics like a hairdryer. It works if you mainly need a place to sleep while exploring the island, but it isn't a comfortable place to spend much time. The bedroom gets stuffy. Its vertical window is flimsy and drops shut under its own weight, and it sits on the far side from the balcony, so the ocean air doesn't reach the room. I wedged it open with the ironing board and a stool. Outlets are awkwardly far from the bed, and the bathroom has just one, already used by the water heater. The shower is tiny, the fridge smells bad, and one of the uncomfortable kitchen stools is broken. Wi-Fi is very weak and doesn't reach the bedroom; there is barely any mobile signal or internet there either. Before we arrived, the owner was excellent at explaining how to get in and where to find food and other services.

We'd happily come back. The owner was warm and helpful, and the place is set somewhere quiet and tucked away, just right for a few restful days. The balcony and rooftop terrace look out to sea, with room to sunbathe. Sheets and towels are provided, and the apartment has the pans, pots, utensils, and other basics you need.

The upstairs restaurant is well worth a visit, and if you can, go for a sea-view room. The hotel is well placed, the treatments are excellent, and breakfast is delicious. They have all kinds of milk, including plain, whole, almond, rice, and oat, and the menu caters to people with celiac disease, intolerances, or food allergies. The staff are the real highlight, lovely and attentive to every detail. A very pleasant, peaceful stay, absolutely recommend it.
