Hacienda el Sueño - Holiday Resort

We had a perfect quiet October half term in 2025, with the teens along too. The apartment was excellent, tidy and well kept, and the views were amazing. Everything felt calm and relaxed, a real oasis. It’s tucked away enough for a peaceful break, but still close enough to drive out on adventures. Thank you, we thoroughly recommend it.

We booked through airbnb and had a lovely, quiet off-season stay at hacienda el sueño. It felt private, and the rooms were great with super comfy beds. There’s a sauna, gym and small restaurant, so the basics are all there. Getting around was easy with Ubers, usually there in 3-5 minutes and around €8 to fuengirola. Construction noise meant we had to change flats, but that was sorted straight away. In the new one, we couldn’t find the wifi code and the oven wouldn’t work because the electrics weren’t switched on. Both things were fixed quickly and without hassle. The service was great, and I’d definitely recommend the place.

Everything was great, from the spotless complex to the staff, food and drinks. The apartments are first class. It’s fabulous, but well out of the way, so expect to use Uber or hire a car.

We’ve had two fantastic stays at Hacienda el Sueño. In April '24 we had a 3 bed penthouse. Its bedrooms are a bit small and dark, while the bright, open plan kitchen and living room is lovely. The huge solarium has amazing sea and mountain views, and beautiful sunsets. In July we came back for almost a month. We had a 3 bed apartment with the same layout as the penthouse, plus a week in a loft apartment. That one’s more like a studio, with a tiny bedroom, and would work well for a couple with a small child or two children. The restaurant has really good food at reasonable prices and friendly service. There’s a small grocery shop for essentials, and a big supermarket about 5km away. The pool is lovely and heated all year, so it was nice even in April. There’s also a children’s play area, a small but adequate gym, and an adult only lagoon area. We’d have liked more things to do onsite, like tennis or basketball, since the location is a bit far from activities and the beach. It’s really good value, though, and we’re already planning another stay this year.
