Hostal Carballo

I’m sorry, but I can’t agree with the positive reviews. I stayed last weekend, and even with the terrible weather, I’ve never been so cold in any accommodation. Please avoid room 104 if you’re planning a stay. They offered me a superior room when I arrived, before I’d even seen this one, but I said I only needed somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep since I’d be out all day. Instead, I couldn’t even get my nose out from under the covers. The bathroom was damp, the tap dripped constantly, and the shower curtain was moldy. I couldn’t wait to leave, and I won’t be back. The next day I stayed in a hostel for almost the same price, and the difference was huge. It felt like a 5-star hotel. Rooms like this shouldn’t be offered, at least not in winter. Lola

Those few days were unforgettable. Fuenteheridos, in the heart of the Sierra de Aracena and the Picos de Aroche, is a wonderful place for its landscapes and its warm, hospitable people. The Pensión-Hostal Carballo also made us feel at home, relaxed, and completely comfortable. Our host, Angelina, made sure we had everything we needed. I’m sincerely grateful for her hospitality and have nothing but praise for her. The value for money is unbeatable, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Hostal Carballo is clean and welcoming, and the owner is very attentive. It’s in the beautiful, peaceful village of Fuenteheridos, a good base for visiting the villages around the Sierra de Aracena. I recommend the hostel.

It’s a guesthouse in the center of a village near Aracena, a good stop if you’re traveling. There’s no breakfast.
