La Albarina

The location was the one good part of our weekend. Inside and out, the place needed maintenance, the cleanliness was only so-so, and the kitchen and small appliances were especially disappointing. The sofa badly needs replacing. At least the bed was comfortable, though we barely slept the first night because the people next door partied until 6 in the morning. We wanted somewhere peaceful to disconnect, but I wouldn't choose this place, especially with children. The service was nonexistent, and there are cabins at the same price that would surely be better. In a private reply to my Booking.com review, the man who runs it said the people in that cabin were good customers who brought him a lot of money each year, and that he didn't live off his luck like I do. In his response to my other review, the owner was incredibly disrespectful and went on a tirade. What a gentleman. I wish I'd taken photos of the cobwebs, kitchen utensils, and burnt-out bulbs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

The owner's suggestion to visit the Iberian Wolf Center was spot on, it was an amazing experience. The cabin is incredibly cozy and has everything you could need, including the luxury of your own barbecue. The surroundings are spectacular, and it's ideally placed for seeing the Sanabria region: the lake and Puebla de Sanabria are only a few kilometers away, with lovely little villages in between. 10 out of 10. We'll definitely come back!

The host was so welcoming and friendly, and the place itself was wonderful, comfortable, and cozy. I absolutely recommend it, and I'll come back whenever I can!

Everything was very clean, and the cabin's cozy setting made for a lovely stay. There's a village nearby with restaurants for dinner. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.
