Apartamentos Turísticos Biarritz Bloque I

We’ve been coming for four years, staying three months each winter, and the service from Maite and Maria has always been wonderful. They’re the best, both so friendly and kind, and lovely in the way they treat people. We had to leave early this year for health reasons, which we’re very sorry about. A big hug from Lucía and José. The apartments are nice and just 100m from the beach.

We came in January, when it was quiet and peaceful around the apartments. Mercadona and Masymas are about a 10-minute walk, and there are bars, restaurants, and souvenir shops close by, though some shut for winter. The beach is only a two-minute walk away, and the facilities work well for a longer stay. We’d definitely recommend Gandia.

Outside noise at night was a problem, and from 5 a.m. the upstairs neighbor may have been moving a bedside table around and making a racket. The apartment itself was clean, fairly cozy, and in a good spot. The spiral stairs were slippery and so awkward that I nearly fell.

The check-in time is rather late, while checkout at 10:00 am feels too early. Letting guests stay until 11:00 am or 12:00 pm, as other places often do, would help. The apartment was dated but clean, and the pool was small, though not crowded in September. You’re a minute from the beach and promenade. There’s air conditioning throughout, but the low-quality windows let in noise at night. The terrace is really only usable after dark since there’s no awning. It was acceptable overall.
