Hotel Clibomar

We were genuinely sad to leave, and have such lovely memories of our stay. Marta and Felix were wonderful hosts, full of tips and happy to chat when we felt like it. Our room had an amazing view, and the bed was super comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, wasn’t too loud, and didn’t smell. A few things could use fixing, but none of them really bothered me. A mosquito net over the window would be my one suggestion. Breakfast was about quality rather than quantity: we loved the homemade cake, with a different one each day, and the toast with ham. We already miss them! The beach is very close, there are great dinner spots around the corner, and the bus stop for the centre is a five-minute walk away. I even had fun learning a bit of Spanish while we were there. We were breaking up a long drive with a one-night stop and booked pretty late. They messaged to ask when we’d arrive so they could heat the room for us, which was a really nice touch. The beds were comfy and the small bathroom was nice. It’s no luxury hotel, but the value was great, and everyone was so friendly. A really friendly woman was at reception, and a man came around the corner to greet us, I’m guessing they were the owners.

It’s an older building, but it’s clean and well looked after. We felt comfortable the whole time, and it seemed likely the place is run by the owners. Breakfast was included and very good. For parking, the best spot is by the roundabout near the harbour.

The service was fantastic, and the location is perfect for the beach, bars, restaurants, and shops. It’s clearly the best value for money you’ll find. Highly recommend it.
