Roberto took care of just about everything for us, day and night. He brought fresh fruit, vegetables and desserts, arranged housekeeping and babysitting, lit the fire before we got back each evening, booked dinners including Michelin restaurants, and set up private trips such as one to Monfrague. From the house we visited Plasencia, Caceres, Monfrague, Monasterio de Yuste and Garganta la Olla. Agua Antigua is a fully renovated modern home in a valley between the mountains, with private grounds, lots of pasture and beautiful trees. There’s even a chicken coop for collecting your own eggs and a water well. At night, under the stars, it felt like we were living among the constellations. A real surprise of luxury in Extremadura, with service that never let up.

The location is gorgeous, and the house itself is beautiful. We were struck by how much care had gone into every detail. The hospitality was exceptional, everything felt 100% perfect.

The children were off exploring from the first minute, playing outside and visiting the chickens as if it were an adventure. We grown-ups had long evenings on the porch, quiet chats and lovely sunsets over the valley. Roberto was warm and attentive, with all those small touches that make a difference. AGUA ANTIGUA is a beautiful modern house, thought through in detail for comfort, with nature, quiet, fresh air and mountain views all around. It’s well placed for trips to the Jerte Valley, La Vera and Monfragüe National Park. We felt calmer and more connected by the stay, and were already wishing we could come back before we left. It’s a place you feel, experience and remember.
