The rooms are spacious and have a refrigerator, which is handy in summer. I also really liked the complimentary water and tea dispenser in the common area. It’s a simple, clean, pleasant place. The only issue for me was the poor signage. I’d definitely stay again.

At first glance, everything seems fine, but we found several problems: the mattress and bed were deficient, there was dirt and unpleasant objects under the bed, the place wasn’t clean, drawers hadn’t been cleaned, faucets didn’t work, and the hot and cold water pressure was weak. The owner is an older man who seems friendly at first. When we raised the problems, though, he ignored us and wouldn’t listen to reason. If you’ve already paid, that’s a real problem. His only option was to file complaints, but those of us without time for that are better off finding somewhere else. A hotel should be a place to rest, without problems. Be careful when paying him.

The room windows look out over the mountains and Castle Hill. It’s a clean, quiet, very nice hostel, and not expensive. There are two parking lots. I can’t say anything about the food service, since I was there after the season, arrived late, and left early on my motorcycle trip.
