You’re right out in the countryside, so you won’t bother anyone, which is a plus. I spent a weekend there with friends. The house was okay, though for the price it was missing quite a few details. Getting there was difficult unless your car has good clearance, since there are at least 5 km of dirt track.

The location and the amount of space are the only real positives. It’s a large country house with 8 bedrooms and can fit a lot of people, and you’re far enough out that you won’t bother anyone. I’d suggest staying around Christmas to avoid the heat. Don’t rely on the price shown on the website. If it lists €1200, they may later say it’s €1600, claiming the listed amount is only a guideline. I’d never heard that before. We also weren’t told the outdoor BBQ couldn’t be used, so we’d already bought charcoal for the days we had to manage without it. Several bedroom air conditioners weren’t cooling or didn’t work at all, and the living room one was the same. They all have timers capped at 4 hours. When we told the staff, they said they’d call a technician, but it was the weekend and nobody came. They gave us a fan instead, which just moved hot air around and didn’t solve anything. One of the toilets serving bedrooms without their own bathrooms was broken and leaking. We reported that too, but the only solution offered was to turn off the water. The person handling the rental was also very hard to reach by phone and only replied to WhatsApp messages four days later.

Every bedroom has its own bathroom, and the house has absolutely everything. We’ve stayed in both summer and winter, and I still can’t choose which season I prefer.

The setting is magnificent for walks and enjoying nature, and access was in very good shape. Even after two weeks of heavy rain, the road was almost perfect. Five families had a wonderful weekend here. The house is cozy and well equipped, with a lovely fireplace and comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Excellent.
