A small but clean, practical place, with a big comfortable bed and your own little bathroom with a shower. It's a short walk to San Lorenzo beach and just around the corner from Begonia park. There's good transport, plus plenty of great coffee shops and restaurants nearby. A good choice if you'd rather spend your money on good food and fun experiences.

The location of the hostel is really good, but the building and rooms need better upkeep. Finding the rooms feels like navigating a labyrinth. The entrance to the main building smells of fried food, while the hostel entrance smells of cheap cleaning products. Our room looked out onto an inner patio, which was a very ugly view.

Breakfast is available for three euros, and the place is well located, safe, and good value. I stayed at Hostal La Libertad in Gijon, Asturias, from October 14 to 17, 2024. The staff were very attentive. My room had a private bathroom with a shower and a safe, and the towels were changed every day. I'd recommend it for a stay on your next visit to Gijon, Asturias.
