Suite 1907 Gijon

The room is attractive and well located, and there is an elevator, but for this price I expected more. It feels cramped, the bathroom is tiny, and it's hard to fit into the shower. Water leaks through the shower doors and pools on the floor. The AC wasn't cooling properly. The living area could use softer lighting than the bright ceiling lights, and the blackout curtains mean there's no way to get both daylight and privacy. There isn't any parking, and staff are only available for certain hours each day. I also dislike having separate electronic number codes for the main door and room. It may suit some travelers, but next time we'll spend the same amount on a full-service hotel.

The location is ideal for visiting the city center, but parking is something to plan for: there's no street parking, and the private lot costs 24€/day. We couldn't get much sleep because there's no sound insulation between the floors. Someone upstairs was walking so heavily that the bedroom shook, and even earplugs didn't help. The room itself was fine, though I don't personally like dark furniture in hotels, and the bathroom is very small.

The location worked especially well for us because we didn't want to stay right in the waterfront center. Everything else was nice and the apartment was bigger than I expected. Staff are downstairs until a certain hour, and they'll lend you anything you need.

It's centrally located, but keep in mind there's no parking and that's an extra cost. In my opinion, the room doesn't match what's advertised. After a long journey, the lack of sound insulation is a problem: you can hear everything from the other rooms, so there's no rest. The bathrooms also need to be cleaned better.
