The cathedral nearby rings its bells every 15 minutes, roughly from 5 a.m. until 1 a.m., which is outside the owner's control. As for the room, the bed advertised as king-sized was smaller than a queen, the mattress felt almost as hard as the metal frame, and only one lamp worked. There was construction outside that sounded like it was happening indoors. It seems the owner rents a few rooms in a building. Their daughter was ill, but that didn't excuse leaving the room key locked in a mailbox.

A good budget option in an authentic neighborhood, with plenty of places to eat nearby and the cathedral, bridges, and other sights within walking distance. The hosts were very friendly, and the place felt lovely and authentic. We appreciated having tea, coffee, and a fridge. Our only real issues were the shortage of pillows and the poor, extremely loud air conditioning.

We'd happily come back. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and the shared tea and coffee area and fridge were useful. Breakfast was a bargain at €4, and communication was good. The old town location was superb, with everything we wanted nearby and lots of good coffee shops and restaurants within a five-minute walk.

Anna welcomed us warmly and made breakfast the next morning. When we had a small but urgent car problem, she found a garage that fixed it right away. The room was lovely and clean, and the location was excellent for walking around the old town. Everything was perfect.

Anna and Johnny were incredibly welcoming and helpful. This small B&B has real character and charm, right in Girona's historic centre. It was clean and comfortable, and I'd highly recommend it.
