AS Palau dels Alemanys

We were able to leave our luggage for a few hours after checkout, which we appreciated. The hotel has only four suites, so it's very quiet, and the nice linens and window shades helped us sleep well. Carlos gave us a tour and explained the house, and we enjoyed the treats left in our room. It's a beautifully restored 11th century home, with modern conveniences and comfort. The hosts clearly take pride in it, and that shows in the care given to every detail. The location is in the old town, an easy walk from the cathedral, city wall, and many historic sites. The town center is about ten minutes downhill on foot. The return is uphill, but taxis can take you around the corner if you don't want to tackle the steep streets and stairs. We were very pleased with our stay and highly recommend this lovely, intimate hotel.

Sara and Carlos really made our stay. They welcomed us like old friends, showed us around, shared fascinating details about the property's history, recommended hidden spots and restaurants, and helped arrange local experiences. They were warm and attentive whenever we had a request. Housed in a beautifully restored palace dating from the 10th to 16th centuries, Palau dels Alemanys combines Girona's old town character with modern comforts. Our spacious suite had exposed stone walls and floors, a fully equipped kitchenette, and even a washing machine, which was a great bonus during our extended stay. We enjoyed the sun terrace and peaceful garden, with views of the medieval architecture. The air conditioning, plush bedding, bathrobes, tea and coffee maker, WiFi, flat-screen TV, and safe all added to the comfort. The location beside the historic walls made exploring easy. It's a special place, with timeless elegance and outstanding service. We can't wait to return.

From my windows the morning after I arrived, I could see so many historic buildings. It was a joy, and the hotel is just steps from many of Girona's sights. The management gave me a tour and explained the building's history, which includes a Roman wall. I was impressed by the hotel's beauty and staff. My Suite Els Festejadors was much more than I expected from the Hotels.com photos. It had a spacious living room, a very large bedroom, and a comfortable bed. The small kitchen had the basics, including water and coffee.

Sara helped me sort out a solution after I misunderstood the fine print while making my reservation. Her flexibility was more than reasonable, and they even discounted the extra day I asked for. I really appreciate the hotel's help and am looking forward to my stay. Thanks, Sara!
