Hotel Castillo de Gorraiz&Spa

The wedding meals were the best part of my stay. The snacks before lunch, lunch itself, and supper were all delicious. The hotel breakfast had plenty of choices, but it was the same both days, which was disappointing. My room was roomy and fairly comfortable. It was missing some basics: toiletries like a toothbrush and toothpaste, drinking water, a kettle, and slippers. I believe toiletries are available on request.

The shuttle into the city center ran around the clock during the festival, which I really appreciated. The staff were welcoming and professional, breakfast was great, and the accommodation was excellent. A great stay!

The setting was beautiful, and the accommodations were comfortable at Hotel Castillo de Gorraiz Hotel & Spa. The facilities themselves are excellent, but dinner and spa reservations were a letdown. Even as hotel guests, we couldn’t get reserved spots, and availability was limited. That was inconvenient. Giving guests priority for reservations would make the stay much better.

The room was fine for a couple, with enough space and a table for working. The spa was nice too, though small and crowded. I liked the strong water jet, which helped ease the tension in my body. Breakfast was a disappointment, especially since it cost extra on top of an already pricey room. The scrambled eggs had no taste, the chocolate muffin was too dry, and I didn’t enjoy the apple tart. The grain bread was the best thing for me, and the range of fruit helped make up for it. The view from the breakfast room did too. If you want somewhere quiet to work or read, this might suit you, and you can unwind at the spa afterwards. I didn’t try dinner there because I was full from Spanish lunch.
