Hotel Abades Nevada Palace

The restaurant was clean, the servers were friendly, and the hot food came out hot, with a decent selection of fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, cheeses, and sliced meats. The coffee machines offered lots of choices. The bacon was undercooked, as I've often found it to be in Spain. Outside the rooms, the carpeted hallways need cleaning. The staff were professional and answered questions in Spanish and English, though the building itself felt more like a large office than a hotel. My room was clean, but dim, and I couldn't figure out the thermostat, so it was a bit cold. There were no spare pillows or blankets, and the shower curtain was broken.

Getting around was easy, with the city center and public transport close by. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very clean, and the hotel's calm, well-maintained facilities made it comfortable after a long day. Breakfast was fresh, well organized, and had plenty of choice. Staff were polite, professional, and ready to help. The elegant design adds to the appeal, and I found Abades Nevada Palace Hotel good value for money. I'd recommend it for work or leisure and would gladly return.

I was with a tour group that stayed one night, on 15 December 2025. The room was absolutely terrible. It was very cold even with the heater on, and the toilet cubicle light wouldn't turn on after several tries. The basin pressure was so weak that filling a cup would take forever. Halfway through my shower, the drain stopped carrying the water away, and it overflowed past the curtain onto the floor. We tried to call reception, but the phone instructions were all in Spanish. The hotel should make the phone service multilingual so guests can get help. It wasted our time and money.

As of Sept 2025, the hotel's four-star Google rating seems misleading. The place needs renovations and better staff training. My rooms were in poor condition, with leaking toilet flushes and a generally run-down feel. I had to switch rooms three times, but the problems were the same. Staff tried to help somewhat, though they didn't resolve things. Several rooms smelled of sewage, and basics like shower curtains, a safe, and an iron were missing.
