I loved the market's Moroccan feel and traditional beauty, with a touch of its historical Islamic era. It has lots of things to browse, from clothing to colorful trinkets and souvenirs. Some items are a bit expensive. For affordable T-shirts, trinkets, or small souvenirs, I'd suggest the nearby Medina gift shop.

The architecture is the main reason to stop by Alcaicería. It has an old, interesting look, but the shops mostly sell much the same souvenirs, with little that feels distinctive. Fine for a quick wander, as long as standard tourist stalls are all you expect.

I was trying to find a particular item for my mom, and Alcaiceria didn't carry it. The gentleman there was really kind and helpful, though, and pointed me to a store that did. I appreciated him going out of his way.
