Apartamentos Río Darro

When I booked, the host said I could use a parking spot near the apartment. But when I contacted them on the arrival date, when cancellation was no longer possible, they said there was no parking and told me to use public parking, without warning me beforehand. The equipment felt like it belonged 40 years ago and was hard to use. Even the bathroom door was difficult to open and close, as the photo shows. After one family member showered, there was no hot water left. I paid 170 euros a night and hadn't had to worry about hot water on the rest of our trip. I felt bad toward my family because I'd booked this place for an important holiday. If you want to ruin a valuable vacation, this accommodation is highly recommended.

The cancellation terms are extremely strict: they require five days' notice and don't offer even a partial refund. I was charged despite never staying, and the owners said nothing could be done, even though my two-day booking was only one day into the stay. I'd previously cancelled another reservation with the same hotel, so I didn't realize this one hadn't been cancelled. I never got booking or payment confirmation from the hotel, or any calls or emails confirming my stay, despite not showing up. I'm very unhappy with the customer service and wouldn't trust this place. In my view, the policy is poor business practice and borderline unethical. If anything goes wrong, they'll take your money without offering consolation.

The location was really good. It was a little small for my group, but it did the job.

Marcos was so friendly and helpful, always there when we had a question or needed something sorted. I was really pleased with the apartment too, and having parking right next door was handy. The location is excellent, practically in the city center.
