The courtyard was nice and the staff fairly friendly. The kitchen had everything needed to eat, so you won’t go hungry, but whatever you use has to be washed and put away. I don’t have any photos. A friend and I booked because our flight from Granada was at 9:00 AM, and we wanted to sleep nearby before our permanent return to Italy after six months of Erasmus. We had two overstuffed suitcases, one 23 kg and the other just over 10 kg. You can’t get there by car, and the route is exhausting with that much luggage, especially the stairs to the entrance near the end. With only a backpack, though, the location is great, and if I remember right, there are two viewpoints nearby. It seems better suited to summer. In winter, the bathrooms can only be reached by going outside, and I wouldn’t recommend showering in that setup for your health. Granada gets quite cold in winter because of the Sierra Nevada. Our room looked much nicer in the photos and had no heating. I don’t feel right giving it fewer stars, since the rating depends on the situation.

For the very low price in July, I’d highly recommend it for the atmosphere. It’s a typical Sacromonte house, and staying there lets you enjoy this old part of Granada. The common areas are beautiful, breakfast was excellent and prepared just for us every day, and the staff were very friendly and helped us find the place. Three rooms share two bathrooms, one larger and one smaller, and one bathroom also opened directly into our room, so we could temporarily close it off and use it privately. Getting there was the main problem. We booked in a rush and didn’t check carefully: cars can’t reach the apartment, not even nearby. Google led us to the church on the hill along a very steep road, parking was a hassle, and we ended up walking half an hour with our bags. Luckily, the staff came to pick us up. Our room’s window faced the common area, so we kept it partly closed much of the time. There was no air conditioning, but the room was still comfortable.

The walk to the center of Granada takes just 15 minutes and is really pleasant, and the location is ideal. Access is on foot and a bit tricky, so traveling light makes it easier to enjoy the views on the way up. My partner, our two dogs, and I stayed two nights and had a FABULOUS time. Rodrigo and Ana, and their little one, are lovely. They adore animals and were incredibly helpful.

The included breakfast was worth mentioning: eggs, bread, butter, fruit, hot chocolate, and more. Eating scrambled eggs and having coffee under the grapevines on the typical porch, with the kitchen and common area nearby, made for a wonderful start to the day. It’s a small house with three bedrooms, a bathroom, a toilet, a kitchen, and a shared area. The location is privileged, though the path up is steep. The area is quiet and welcoming. The house is older, but I could see that improvements were underway during my visit. Bedrooms were spacious with basic amenities. Staff aren’t always on site, so you collect keys from a mailbox. When they do show up, they’re very friendly and happy to help with tickets or whatever else you need.
