C&V Apartamentos - Horno De Marina

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is right in the city center, so everything was close by. A really good place, and I’d recommend it!

The apartment was okay for cleanliness, though the water jug had baked-on dirt on the bottom. Communication and the facilities were a much bigger problem. If you don’t speak Spanish and don’t have WhatsApp, it seems there’s no way to reach the owner. When we arrived, we tried calling for a long time with no answer; instead, he messaged us on Booking. Finding the parking assigned to the apartment was difficult, and we needed help. We couldn’t coordinate with the owner, and ended up walking around the area three times for about an hour. After all that, we were given a parking remote. The air conditioners in the apartment didn’t work. Hot water lasted exactly three minutes, then turned cold. We had to wait around 20-30 minutes before it got hot again. On the second day, after an excursion, we found the parking remote no longer worked. The owner AGAIN didn’t answer the phone, so we walked around the area for a long time. We found another contact, who said, “I am not at work today,” then hung up. We had to park in a public car park, which cost us €36.

The room's water heater was sitting on a flowerpot in the living room, and an LED light stayed faintly lit even after being switched off. I couldn’t sleep all night, and the stay honestly ruined my trip to Granada. We’d booked a standard room for two, but were put in a room adapted for people with reduced mobility without any warning. The person who answered the phone and checked us in was incredibly rude. Showering was a mess because water sprayed across the bathroom floor. Their answer was to hand us a bucket and mop, which felt pathetic for the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

The apartment itself is fine, and the location is really good, close to all the main places in Granada. But the pillows and mattress are very uncomfortable. The wifi is awful. I spoke to the owner several times, and he kept assuring me it always worked perfectly. We stayed two days and it never worked.
