We spent three nights here, and it was easy to get to the sights, shops, restaurants and bars. Our room, 412, had a great view and plenty of space. It was clean and comfortable, and the tea and coffee supplies were topped up each day. The floor was a little damaged, though. Having underground parking on site was a real bonus. The staff were friendly, and we really enjoyed breakfast, with a good range to pick from.

The Wi-Fi was unusable. I couldn't even load the airline website. We asked for €30 back because the spa was closed, but Luis at reception just argued that it was Monday. I had still paid for it as part of the room price, and it felt like that money was going toward the spa employee's holidays. Even when the spa is open, they charge €22 per person for up to 1.5 hours. The hotel has “spa” in its name, but the spa was shut during our stay. The staff were unprofessional and hid behind vague terms and conditions instead of trying to help. Breakfast was below par, not even what I'd expect from a two star hotel. I don't know how this place got four stars, it feels completely undeserved. Avoid it.

The rooms were spotless, spacious and beautiful, and we couldn't hear noise from the other rooms. We stayed several nights and loved using the spa and pools. The staff were friendly, apart from one moment at breakfast when we arrived with only 15 minutes left. We understood the rush and don't blame him for it.

The room was fine for sleeping and had no bugs or anything alarming, but it didn't match what I'd expect from a four star hotel. The staff didn't seem equipped to give good customer service. Luis at reception couldn't do anything about the spa being closed on Mondays, which is a silly setup for a place called Senator Granada Spa Hotel. That name is misleading in another way too: the spa isn't included in the price, and it's closed Mondays. Maybe they should call it Senator Hotel on those days. And the coffee was the worst I've had. I had to eat raw garlic just to make it bearable enough to keep drinking. Don't trust the 4.3 Google rating, this place isn't close. It may meet the basic requirements for four stars, but it falls far short of them in practice. If you're expecting a two or three star hotel, go ahead and book.

A real letdown. The booking sites show spa photos and mention the spa, but don't make clear that it's extra and needs to be booked. It isn't included in the hotel rate, and the price is way too high. The hotel itself is old, and without paying for the spa, there isn't much to do. I'd choose somewhere else.
