Hostal Verónica

They gave me helpful tips for getting more out of Alhambra, and I’d recommend Veronica Hostal. For the price, it was a very good option, and I’ll use it again next time. My room and bathroom were updated and clean, with a comfortable bed, enough space, and A/C. It was also well located. The only issue was that I couldn’t get the heater to work.

Great location, and the staff were nice. The rooms are a bit old, but they’re okay and clean.

The bed was uncomfortable, and we even found a dead cockroach on the floor. We’ve stayed in plenty of hostels and budget places while travelling, and this was by far the worst. We felt misled by the online photos and presentation, and it honestly felt like a scam. I don’t understand the high ratings. The room looked NOTHING like the booking site pictures. It felt grim and unwelcoming as soon as we walked in. Some of the lights didn’t work, and even with the rest turned on, the room was still dark and gloomy. It was a very disappointing, uncomfortable stay and unfortunately affected our whole experience in Granada. Would not recommend!!

The price was very reasonable, and the location put the center and many attractions within walking distance. The street felt a little unsettling at night. The rooms and furniture were quite old, and the bathroom was the least cozy part. It had a nostalgic, almost vintage look, but not in a good way, like stepping into a room from 60 years ago.
