Checkin Camino de Granada

The hotel and staff were lovely, and our room was spacious and clean. The pool was decent, though the flies around it were annoying and not the hotel's fault. We skipped the parking charge and found plenty of free spaces on the street outside. The location was the drawback: it felt like the middle of nowhere, on what looked like an industrial estate, so I wouldn't stay here to be near the center. Breakfast one morning was decent for the price. For the cost, it was excellent value, and I'd probably stay again while travelling around Spain.

If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. We were here one night on a school trip and left the next day because the rooms were so bad. My room had bugs, mold throughout the bathroom, an uncleaned pee mark on the floor, a broken shower and ants in the bathroom. There was also a suspicious mark on the wall and a strange liquid spot in the safe. We were told to fix the bathroom problems ourselves. Other rooms had vomit in a bidet and maggots. When we asked to move, the options were rooms other guests had just left in the same or worse condition. The hotel couldn't clean or replace our room. The next morning I had raised, itchy red bumps, and many others on the trip reported the same after just one night. They also found hair over mirrors and in their beds. Don't waste your money here.

The hotel experience was mediocre. It feels far from the city, so I wouldn't choose it for sightseeing in Granada. Our room was okay, but there was a large “I love you” message on the mirror that clearly hadn't been cleaned or changed, which felt unprofessional.

I've stayed here several times for a few weeks at a time and never had a single problem. They even kept some things I forgot for months, until I came back. The staff are great, and the food is good, both dinner from the menu and breakfast. Dinner starts late, though that's true everywhere around here. The coffee is great too.
