El Granado Hostel

The hostel-run walking tour and hike were both amazing, and I found them interesting and rich in local culture. The staff were also great about recommendations and helping arrange other activities. The facilities had everything I needed, but the people and atmosphere are what made El Granado stand out. It felt homey and relaxing while still being social. One of the best hostels I've stayed at. I'd happily come back anytime, 10/10.

I had a great four-day stay and would come back to Granada. The only small downside was that the lockers were quite small, really only useful for valuables, so it's good to know that in advance. The hostel has a welcoming community, workshops, and a living area upstairs where you can spend time with other travelers. There's also a well-organized kitchen and food storage, so you can cook. They offer trips and events around the city, usually for a small fee or tips, and communication with the staff was easy. Everyone was nice. I was here during the major power outage across the Iberian peninsula in April. It was frightening, but the hostel took care of us and brought a group of us out into the mountains so we could still enjoy the stay. I'll always remember that, and I'm grateful for how they looked after us during a stressful time. As a young solo traveler, I’d definitely recommend this place.

The dorm I booked, whatever the biggest mixed option is, was easily the most spacious hostel room I've had. It was clean and comfortable, with a bathroom attached and another one just outside. The staff were friendly and accommodating too. I joined the group hike, went to a rooftop dinner, and connected with people through the WhatsApp group. I'd stayed in plenty of hostels before, but the feel here seemed to fit the city's culture so well. From the moment I arrived, I felt relaxed and at ease, while still finding it easy to be social. I'd love to stay here again if I get back to Granada.

On my first solo trip, I felt comfortable in the clean, laid-back atmosphere and met friendly people from all over. El Granado is an easy walk from pretty much anything in Granada, and the events gave me a real insider feel for the city. That first visit to Granada became one of my favorite trips ever. I recommend El Granado to everyone I know and will definitely return to the El Granado family ❤️ Nothing else like it!
