Room 105 had an enormous bathtub, almost like a little soaking pool, and I loved the hotel's character and decor. The building has a lovely courtyard and house feel, converted into a boutique hotel. The location is handy for the main commercial boulevard, lively squares, and Carrefour; Albaicin and Sacromonte and the river path are about a half-hour walk away. Just note that there's no balcony. Some staff were engaging and helpful, while others stayed behind the big desk instead of interacting. The WiFi was very poor, and on a few nights the TV's streaming apps wouldn't load. There's no built-in USB connection. The bathroom has no ventilation, so condensation made everything wet, especially the floor, which could be dangerous. The towels were a bit rough. They should replace the hangers too: some trouser hangers were missing clips and had exposed screws that could cut fingers or scratch clothes. The mismatched hangers also make the place feel cheaper, and that's an easy fix.

Gar Anat feels like old-town Granada, set in a 16th century building with just 15 rooms. Elizabeth welcomed us and knew so much about the area. Our superior room was spacious, had a larger bathroom, and comfortably slept our family of three. Señora Carmen put on an incredible breakfast buffet, and the afternoon tea was a lovely way to enjoy a siesta before going out in the evening. We absolutely love this hotel. If you want a place with character, look no further.

The free water was refilled for us, and we also enjoyed the complimentary evening tea. Staff were friendly and easy to reach whenever we needed anything. WiFi was patchy at times, but otherwise everything was totally fine. We stayed two nights in a clean, spacious, very comfortable standard room with two twin beds, and the air conditioning worked well. The hotel has a welcoming courtyard and a cozy smell as soon as you walk in. It felt distinctive and more comforting than a huge corporate hotel. Restaurants and cafes were easy to reach on foot, Granada cathedral was nearby, and Alhambra was a 15-20 minute walk away. An Uber or taxi was easy and affordable too. I'd definitely recommend it for a stay in Granada.

The staff were kind and wonderful, with helpful tips about the city, and the hotel is within walking distance of so many lovely parts of Granada. This was our second time in the city, but the first visit when we really felt its magic. The hotel had a lot to do with that, and even gave us a chance to leave a wish for the future.
