The hotel is down a side street, and reaching the slopes means carrying ski gear up and down several outdoor metal staircases before you get to the chairlift. They were icy and very slippery, which made the walk dangerous. That isn’t ski-in/ski-out access, despite the hotel being listed that way on Booking.com and what we were told online and by phone. We travelled all the way from Canada relying on that information, so arriving to find otherwise was deeply disappointing and felt unfair. We’ve stayed at many genuine ski-to-door properties and know what the term means. We booked three nights but left the day after arriving, giving up the remaining two because we couldn’t justify staying. Management was unhelpful and refused to take responsibility or refund those nights, even though the information before our trip was inaccurate. The staff, by contrast, were polite. The rooms also smelled damp and didn’t look like the online photos. This was meant to be a special milestone celebration, but our time and money were wasted.

We had a great three-day ski trip, thanks in part to the very helpful, professional staff. Parking was simple: leave the keys at reception and they park the car. Breakfast was good and service was quick. I’d recommend the place warmly, though the pool area was a letdown. It only opens in the evening, the jacuzzi and saunas were closed, and the pool was dirty.

The indoor garage was a welcome surprise and really useful for a visit to Sierra Nevada. A special thanks to the reception team, who sorted out my booking date mistake professionally. I came with my son a week ago and we had a great time at Kenia Nevada. It’s a pleasant rustic hotel with an elegant Spanish mountain feel in both the decor and food. The room, the view, breakfast, cleaning, and staff were all spot on. We’ll definitely come back.

From the bedroom, the view is incredible, and the location is ideal. The restaurant is very good too. It’s a three-minute walk to the center of Sierra Nevada, where you can confirm the ski stations.
