Hotel Los Angeles has a lot of character. It’s undeniably dated, but the 1960s Miami-like charm feels like stepping back into classic European travel. The rooms were surprisingly large, with plenty of space to relax, and breakfast had a huge selection, from fresh pastries and fruit to hot options. Every staff member we met was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful, and the service was impeccable. If you’re looking for something sleek and modern, this might not be your pick. But if you like old-world charm and hospitality, it’s a memorable stay in Granada. Highly recommend.

The rooms had very poor lighting, and the hotel felt old and badly maintained. We had no hot water for a full day, which was unacceptable with the temperature at a cold 2 degrees celsius. Whenever we switched on the air conditioning, it smelled very bad. They only came to spray air freshener, and the room remained uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing overall.

The buffet was the biggest letdown. There was little choice, and it barely changed from one day to the next, so over several nights you’d end up eating much the same thing: 2/3 vegetables and just one fish. The room had several problems too. We couldn’t regulate the shower temperature, and it was almost scalding hot. A pretty French window opened onto a beautiful patio, but the door was blocked, so we couldn’t go out. There wasn’t a toilet brush either. The hotel itself is beautiful, with an attractive facade, and the pool is very nice.

The service was really good. We got free breakfast room service, and there was food to order by the huge, well-kept pool. The location was perfect for El Hambre and Grenada central. Our room was the one slight letdown: for our family of four, the shaky bunk beds were the worst, next to the two single beds.

The area was a little run down, and getting there by car was a bit difficult, but we managed fine. The hotel is older, though you can tell it must once have been very beautiful. Our room was clean, and the huge breakfast area had lots to choose from, including gluten-free bread and muffins.
