We had a one-bedroom apartment with a private bathroom and our own terrace, though there was no view. The open-plan space was roomy, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room. It was comfortable and convenient for restaurants, cafes, and shopping. The town service center staff and the house cleaning team were exceptionally helpful throughout our stay, and we're grateful. We'll be back.

The smell inside was awful. Sewage stink came from the bathroom and filled the apartment, and neither the fan nor shutting the bathroom door helped. It was hot and stuffy, and switching on the AC brought another odor, like stale urine. Opening the windows was the only option, but there were no screens, so mosquitoes came in. The little patio shown in the listing was locked and inaccessible. Getting into the building was a struggle too. The confirmation email didn't include the entry code, the intercom did nothing, and nobody was on site. We had to call their phone line, an expensive call for international travelers, and the staff were several blocks away. Check-in itself is all done on a poorly programmed, awkward electronic device in the entrance hall, blocking people from coming and going while you use it. There was no parking. The email and website didn't warn us, so we followed the FAQ and parked at Plaza de Camino 4, expecting the office to validate our ticket. The next day, the woman at the office refused, saying they had no arrangement with that garage, even though it was listed on the website. She wouldn't listen when I explained we had followed their instructions, and said the correct garage details were in the email, which they weren't. Parking added 20 euro/day to the hotel price. I chose the place because it was near the things I wanted to do and seemed well priced. It was a disaster: no staff on site, important information missing, advertised promises not kept, and no parking included.

The location was the one good thing about the apartment. My husband and I found the rest really disappointing. The bed and sofa were uncomfortable, and the sofa even gave me a rash. We were in the basement, with barely any sunlight. Thankfully it was January and not summer, because we could hear everything from the neighbors inside the building and from the street. We don't recommend staying here.

We left after a sleepless night. Our ground-floor room was about 3 metres from a rattling manhole cover, and traffic kept making it bang all night. When I asked for another room, I was told none would meet our extraordinary need for sleep. The customer care was nonexistent. They said Booking would review our refund request for the unused nights, but that was a lie, since the hotel handles all payments. They also took my card details, maybe to discourage bad reviews. Don't make the same mistake I did. Don't give them your card details or payment.

From midnight until 8am, there was constant noise: cars, people talking loudly, doors shutting, toilets flushing. The hotel is on the ground floor by the street and right beside the entrance, with terrible sound insulation. I can't understand how anyone considers it acceptable at 110 euros a night. Do people think they bribe Google or Booking to remove bad reviews?
