Pensión Alfin

The best part was the owners, Manuel and his wife. They're both lovely, warm people. Manuel even got up at 5am so we could check out, then opened the nearby cafe so we could have breakfast. Such a kind person, thank you Manuel. The pension is nicely decorated, and the rooms were warm and clean. I'd happily recommend it :)

Manuel, who runs the place, was really helpful, and I'd definitely try the fresh sugarcane juice he makes at the cafe across the road. The location is fantastic. Parking is next door, but remember to register your car with Manuel because only authorized vehicles can enter that street. I'd absolutely stay here again.

A pension with a great location and atmosphere for tourists. The bed was great, and the decor suits the place. There's no kitchen or fridge, but the nearby cafe has inexpensive food. The shower takes a while to warm up, so give it time.

Once we found the place, the room was gross and disappointing. The receptionist was no help, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and street noise kept us from getting much rest. The room, bedding, and bathroom were dirty, with stains, hairs, and a strange smell. Even the tap water smelled awful, and there was no drinking water or place to buy any. Finding the pension was a nightmare. We spent over an hour and a half looking, after struggling to get clear directions from the receptionist by phone. We don't speak fluent Spanish, so I was relying on Google Translate and my limited conversational skills. Clear directions in the website or confirmation email would have helped me plan. You can't drive up to the place, at least if you arrive late at night, so we had to walk from our vehicle in the dark without knowing exactly where we were going. We had a terrible experience here in 2017, and with so many other places near the Alhambra, I would NOT recommend this one.
