We only stayed two nights and already feel there's so much more of the region to discover. The village alone has 26 vineyards, and we're planning to return. We loved the hotel: the thoughtful decor clearly took a lot of effort, Emma and Christine(a?) were wonderful hosts, and it's very dog friendly. Breakfast was super, and the honor bar made it easy to have a nightcap with a view.

We only stayed overnight, but the village was so lovely that we'd book a few days next time. Room 3 has the red bathroom, which looks less wild in person than in the photos, plus a big shower and nice olive oil toiletries. Christina at reception was wonderful and suggested wineries to visit. The honesty bar was a highlight, with a great system, a nice choice of spirits, and a coffee machine. We enjoyed sitting with a glass or two in the little square opposite at night. Lunch at Clos Figures was great, and we had an absolutely brilliant time at The Slate Wine bar. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The town is known for its proximity to Priorat wineries. There's not a huge amount to do in town, though there are local places to eat and pubs. The location and service were amazing, the staff warm and welcoming, and the rooms spacious, air conditioned, and really distinctive. You can make a drink inside and take it out to sit outdoors. The honor bar is a novel setup, with good options and no one waiting around: just write down your name and room number with what you took. Very recommended, and I'll be back.

If the pastelería beyond the plaza is open, I'd get continental breakfast there instead of paying €15 for the hotel's breakfast. Depending on the season, finding food, drink, places to eat, or entertainment in the area can be difficult. Still, if you enjoy quiet and scenery, Cal Llop ('Wolf's Needs'?) hotel is very good value. My wife and I thought it might be the most stylish hotel we've stayed in. The old building is impressive inside and out, with stone and wood, artistic paintwork, and sculpture. The service is friendly, especially Lupita the furry dog!
