Hotel Iberico

We came across this family-run hotel while wandering around Costa Tropical, and the food and wine were a great surprise. Chef Andrea is Italian, and the food is prepared according to Italian tradition, with dishes paired to bring out the flavors. The staff were very amiable and gave us great help during our stay. We'd definitely recommend it, even just for a meal.

The room was clean and functional, with updates, though still modest. The road-facing rooms can be noisy because the old windows haven't been replaced. I paid €75 for a double room even though the room price said €55. Lunch was good: I had albondigas and a mixed salad. It's worth considering if you can get the room at the lower price. This isn't an area with many foreign tourists, so English is less commonly spoken. Brushing up on your Spanish is worthwhile, and it makes for a good challenge.

A modest room that worked for a short stay, with air conditioning. A chair in the room would've been a nice addition. The staff were friendly, though brush up on your Spanish since none of them speak English.

The stay was good value, though very basic. The bed and shower were good, the bath towels were nice and big, and the air conditioning was brilliant. Two plug sockets were handy. The room was compact.
