Camping las Lomas

The landscape around this place is beautiful. Marilú at reception was professional, friendly and quick to answer our questions. At the campsite, Mario was also very friendly and attentive to guests’ needs, always trying to make the stay better. Thanks so much. I’ll come back more often and fully recommend the place. Javier

The staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s a lovely site. When we visited, though, the roads were in terrible shape and the buses weren’t running, which made the experience less enjoyable. I’m sure it’s lovely in spring and summer.

When it rained, the staff let us sit in the social room, which was kind of them. The campsite is in a good spot, the facilities were very clean, and the staff were friendly. A great place to camp.

Getting into Granada was easy by bus. It stopped right outside the site, cost 1.90 euros per adult, and let our 10kg dog ride in a bag. Reception also gave us useful advice for visiting during holy week, including bus stop changes and pick-pocket warnings. Booking and pre-arrival questions had been handled well, and the staff were welcoming, helpful and informative. There’s a well stocked, fairly priced shop on site. Our pitch was level and quiet. The campsite is beautifully reached by a drive through the mountains, with wonderful views over the gorge. The shower and toilet block didn’t seem as luxurious as the website suggested and could use refurbishment. We were disappointed that dogs weren’t allowed in any of the grassed open areas, including the viewpoint, or in the restaurant. For us, that made the site only partly dog friendly. If you’re bringing a dog, have good tick treatment ready. The ticks were particularly aggressive here and at other mountain sites we visited in Spain. We’d definitely come back for the scenery, convenient bus and proximity to such a fabulous city.
