The campsite is large and well equipped, and it’s hard to beat for access to Haro’s wineries. We stayed in a bungalow, so we didn’t need camping gear. It was quiet and cozy, felt romantic, and had a lovely view of the trees. We also ate three meals at the affiliated cafe, restaurant, and bar. We really liked its retro feel. Most of the site was filled with campervans.

We liked the site enough to return for our last two nights before catching the ferry from Santander, an easy two-hour drive away. The covered pool was open in May, with a quiet sun lounger area right beside it, and the shower and toilet block was among the best we’d seen in Spain. It’s a really well-appointed site. We also came back to tour a Bodega and chose Roda, which was excellent but more expensive. We walked into town for dinner and drinks, so didn’t try the restaurant. With an ACSI discount, this was ridiculously good value compared with UK sites.

A clean, modern site in a handy spot for Haro’s town center. There’s a pool in season, laundry room, cafe, bar, and restaurant. We skipped the restaurant because its menu seemed too broad for everything to be fresh, and went to one of the many excellent tapas bars in town instead.

The pitches are fairly large and level, and the campsite is a good option for a visit to Haro. It’s only a ten-minute walk to the city center. The sanitary facilities were good and cleaned regularly, while the wifi only worked near the office. The bar and restaurant seemed okay, but we couldn’t try them because they’re closed on Wednesdays.

A great base for visiting Haro, with superb facilities and a decent bar and restaurant. Some pitches get muddy, though many have gravel to help with grip and drainage. The main downside is the 6 amp electricity, especially at nearly €7 a day. 10a would be a big improvement.
