Hotel Villa Liguardi

The room we booked was the cheapest one, and its downsides weren't apparent in the photos or reviews. It was too small for a stay of more than two days, and had no air conditioning, which is normal for the area. But it faced a low wall, so there was barely any airflow. There were no mosquito nets, and being out in the countryside, we couldn't open the window. We were there during the hottest days ever recorded in Cantabria, at 40°C. I'd avoid that cheapest option if possible, but that's the only real drawback, and I'd still recommend this place 100%. The accommodation is beautiful, charming, tastefully decorated, and welcoming, with magnificent views and absolute quiet. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the complimentary coffee, pastries, fruit, and other things available anytime were much appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and made with local ingredients.

Silvia looked after us so kindly, politely, and attentively, making our stay truly special. The surroundings are captivating, and the complex and rooms are perfect, with every detail considered. It leaves you speechless as soon as you arrive. If there were more stars, we'd give them all. Don't hesitate if you get the chance to come and experience it. Highly, highly recommended.

The location is spectacular, and the cowbells tinkling in this idyllic place are like music. I barely got to enjoy the facilities, but there were lovely touches: a coffee machine and pastries available free whenever you fancied a snack, plus two dining room fridges stocked with food if you wanted to have dinner there. You could also have a drink after a day sightseeing in the area. I can't thank the villa staff enough. Virginia was a sweetheart, and I'm sorry I can't remember anyone else's name. When I needed an iron, they sent one over promptly. Definitely somewhere to return to.

On arrival they offered us different coffees or teas and pastries, all available to us around the clock, plus little bottles of water and chocolates in the room. What more could you ask for? The views were spectacular, the rooms five-star, and the staff's kindness was incredible. I've been to Cantabria and Asturias on holiday four times, and hadn't found this kind of excellence before. Thanks to Oliva, Silvia Mariam, and Sandra for making our stay so pleasant with their kind treatment. 100% recommended.
