House in La Gomera 101465 by MO Rentals

We couldn't even get inside when we arrived in a van. The entrance is awful, and all those stairs make the place completely inaccessible. On day two, switching on the oven overloaded the power and everything went out. There is only one meter shared by every two or three accommodations. The accommodation itself is fine, but we found cockroaches in the kitchen as soon as we arrived and lots of ants in the bathroom. The terrace may be private, but there's no privacy from the neighboring accommodations. They charged us an extra cleaning fee they still haven't justified, even though we swept the whole house, washed the dirty dishes, and gathered the used linens. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. There are many better options.

The terrace and the valley and sea views were a highlight, and the whole apartment was so quiet and peaceful. My wife and I spent three days in the upstairs apartment. It was spotless, had everything we needed, and the space was just right, with thoughtful touches that made it comfortable. Vicki looked after us really well and was charming. The stairs up are long and steep, but we took them as a bit of heart-healthy exercise, and the view at the top made it worthwhile. Best wishes to Vicky from both of us.

The views really are spectacular, but the rest of the stay was horrible. We found two cockroaches in the kitchen as soon as we arrived, plus a trail of ants in the bathroom, and there were more cockroaches and ants around the house. The towels were tiny, just one per person. The old beds and worn sheets were very uncomfortable. There are endless stairs to reach the house, and guests aren't warned about them. I can't recommend it.

The views are nice, but the house was the only part of my La Gomera trip that I didn't like. The climb up all those stairs isn't shown in the photos or mentioned, and it was a problem for my mother, who has knee trouble. Inside, we found a cockroach in the kitchen and ants in one of the bedrooms. The rooms got very hot even with the windows open, the mattresses were uncomfortable, and there were barely enough towels. Bring a couple of your own. We were there with our dogs, and one peed on a tiny 50x50cm rug on the last day. We put it through the washing machine, but the woman took 20 euros from our deposit for cleaning it. We asked for the dry cleaning receipt, and they sent a photo of an invoice with prices and text they had written themselves. A dry cleaner in La Gomera told us a large blanket costs €16, so we felt they had taken advantage of our deposit. I wouldn't recommend this place. There are other holiday rentals nearby worth looking into 😘.
