The staff were a real bright spot. The restaurant worker and the woman at breakfast were both super friendly, and they were flexible about our special requests. The snack bar is handy in an area without a restaurant or supermarket, and check-in was easy. I liked how the traditional and modern design elements work together. The downside is the road noise: you hear each car inside the room, so I think the windows need replacing. There weren’t any cars passing during the night, though, and we slept well.

The beds were good, but the rooms were a bit noisy. For what you get, it feels fairly overpriced, and the restaurant food costs a lot too. A very basic burger was 16 euros. The staff may mean well, but their service came across as a little rude.

The ground-floor room was the main problem. Cars passing on the road right outside were easy to hear through the windows, and until 1am we could hear noise from the reception, bar, and breakfast room next door. For a room like that, I’d say the most they should charge is 50 euros, not 130. The website and photos had led us to expect something quite different.

There’s good food and drink here, and the staff are friendly. It’s a lovely country hotel just off the highway, with great parking. The river and hiking are nearby too.

The place was clean, and the restaurant was very good. The staff were professional and excellent. Alba deserves a special thanks for all her help and attention. It was a great place to stay.
