Nova Talamanca

The food at breakfast was nice, but the way the reception staff handled everything has put me off staying here. I’d come to Montesol Experimental Ibiza for breakfast to get a feel for the hotel before possibly booking for next year. We asked to leave our luggage while we ate and were bluntly told no. A pickpocket then came into the restaurant and tried to take our rucksack. I caught him in the act. Afterwards, nobody showed concern for our safety or wellbeing, and nobody even mentioned what had happened. They still wouldn’t store the bags. In the end they let us leave them by the front desk, while making clear they were “not at all responsible” for them. The receptionist was dismissive and unwelcoming, and the whole breakfast stopped feeling relaxing. The manager should consider a more attentive and welcoming front-of-house team, since that’s the first impression visitors get. It’s a real shame, but this experience has put me off considering the hotel for a future stay.

The rooftop bar is great, and the design is good, as at the other Experimental Hotels. Service was lacking, though. It needs a pool.

Being right in the centre made the location perfect, with everything around us. We could borrow beach towels and bags during our stay, which was handy. The room had enough space, and I liked being able to connect my phone to the radio over Bluetooth. Breakfast had plenty of variety, so you could try different things, and the eggs benedict were amazing. I loved the hotel's distinctive style throughout and the rooftop bar's wonderful view. Everything was just fine for me, nothing to complain about.

Amazing design and delicious food. The staff were super attentive too. Best hotel in town!
