Family Home Drago Chill Out

The courtyard and little reading room were lovely, and breakfast was impressive. It’s also close to the plaza, the butterfly exhibit building and the famous Drago Tree Park. We really loved this small, romantic place. On a rainy spring day it felt like somewhere you could happily stay in and get cozy. The old building has plenty of charm, though the stairs are very steep. We arrived late and nobody helped us with our bags, so be prepared for that. We also had a leak during some unusually heavy rain. The host kindly let us look at another room, but we decided to stay where we were.

We left some important papers in our room after checking out, and Lorena let us know straight away. That meant we could pick them up and still catch our flight. She’d made us feel welcome from the start, smiling as she greeted us and serving a lovely breakfast each morning. A charming place in Icod de los Vinos, with a personal touch and top-notch quality. Well worth visiting.

It’s a small, authentic local hotel with the basic amenities, and the staff were very kind. The room was cleaned properly. Breakfast was decent, though don’t expect a large buffet. Check-in could be easier: it would help to have options beyond calling a local number and receiving all the information by phone.

We only stayed one night, with breakfast included, and I’d definitely come back. The hotel feels warm and cozy, like stepping into the past, and it’s well maintained. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. Riccardo, who prepared it, was polite and sociable, and we chatted for a bit. It’s near the bus station, museum, botanical garden and mariposeria.
