The staff seemed stretched thin, with so much work left to do. I spoke with them and got the impression they were being paid below minimum wage. The rooms were awful, and the food wasn’t appetising.

We only came for the restaurant, not as hotel guests. For €60, the T-bone menu for two included coffee or herbal tea and lemon sorbet, plus a delicious Iberian ham with olive oil, spectacular grilled octopus, and a tender, exquisite grilled steak. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and happily brought another stone when the first one cooled down. We’ll definitely be back.

The breakfast was a disgrace for €10: empty juice jugs and trays, terrible coffee, stale bread, and croissants hard as rocks. The room itself was clean, the beds really comfortable, and everything else felt right for the price we paid.

We’d happily come back at this time of year after our nine-day full-board stay. It was peaceful and pleasant, and the food was excellent. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were served across the street at Hotel Estrella del Norte, where Mapi and Alberto gave outstanding service in the dining room.

The value for money was excellent, and we were very happy with the stay. Our room was spacious, with a nice balcony that was a little neglected. The bathroom had plenty of space and everything we needed, and the mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. We did miss a refrigerator.
