Dionis Boutique Hotel & Spa

The staff were good, though sometimes absent, and we had to wait for help with different services. We stayed one night for our first wedding anniversary. The location is great, about 15 minutes from the best calas in Xàbia, and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options for everyone. We didn’t use the restaurant. The room was beautifully designed with great attention to detail, but the shower leaked. We didn’t pay it much attention since we were only there one night. Soundproofing was a problem: we could clearly hear the corridors, outside, and neighboring rooms. The coffee machine came with just two capsules for two people. We were told we could ask for more, but that didn’t feel sufficient for such a basic amenity in this kind of hotel. Parking was tight, and most of the time it was too crowded to park inside the property, so we had to park outside. There was underground parking, but we weren’t offered it because apparently it was for employees only. We apparently had 90 minutes of private spa use included in the price, but no one mentioned it during booking or followed up so we could reserve ahead. At check-in, the available times were 2 to 3.30 pm and 8.30 to 10.00 pm, neither of which fit our schedule. This needs clearer information and more follow-up. It was a great hotel, but the stay could have been more pleasant.

The spa was lovely, and having it all to ourselves made it especially good value. We came just for a couples massage, not an overnight stay, and the whole visit felt special. The staff were so warm and friendly, and they brought us to the gorgeous bar for tea while we waited. The massage itself was great, too. After that experience, I’d gladly stay at the hotel if we need somewhere in Javea. The drive from València was well worth it.

I was reluctant to believe all the glowing reviews, but I’m so glad we found Dionis. Our suite had a huge terrace and a wonderful view, and the rooms are furnished with such good taste. For the amenities and service, they’re great value. The staff are kind and funny, and the Manager was fantastic. Nothing felt like too much trouble. I really didn’t want to leave, and I hope we’ll be back very soon.

The place is so peaceful, with a blissful, quiet pool, and the food was tasty and beautifully presented. The property itself is gorgeous, with high end style and thoughtful design details, but the people made the stay. Lucy at reception and Alex at the bar made us feel at home with friends. I can’t fault the experience. It’s almost a shame to review it and let others in on the secret. Such a lovely hotel and staff.
