Hotel Doña Blanca

The café staff were so pleasant and keen to help, and the café itself is lovely, with a beautiful spread of fruit, breads, pastries, juice, tea and coffee. The reception team were helpful with restaurant recommendations, too. Our room was spotless, and the fresh-looking, fresh-smelling bed linen was a nice touch. The hotel is clean, welcoming and in a fabulous spot. It would have been even nicer to have the small bar open for a nightcap in the lounge. We'll stay here again on future trips to Jerez. Thank you, Andrea and Neil McGregor.

What I remember most is how smoothly the staff handled my forgotten iPad. I left it in the room after checking out, and the front desk manager called me herself, tracked it down, arranged shipping and coordinated delivery to my next hotel. It was there when I arrived, with no fuss or stress. A charming hotel in a great location, with service that really stood out.

Storm Emilia disrupted ferry services between Morocco and Spain, so I had to cancel my stay. I explained that this was beyond my control and a case of force majeure, but the hotel refused both a refund and any goodwill gesture. Very disappointing handling of an exceptional situation.

The room was clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. But you can hear every tap running in the neighbouring rooms, and the lockups outside start making a racket around 07.30.
