Hotel El Coloso

I had a lovely, clean room with a super comfortable bed and a wonderfully quiet night’s sleep. There was a dining table and chairs, a small kitchen, plenty of wardrobe and storage space, a nice TV, and a USB charging port. The bathroom had everything I needed. There’s no kitchen on site, so bring your own food; for breakfast, there’s a lovely bar and cafe across the road. The hotel’s a great find in central Jerez, in a perfect spot for tourists. Street parking is paid by the hour, except it’s free from Saturday at 2 pm through Sunday evening. The hotel also has some paid parking, so ask when you arrive. I’d definitely recommend it and hope to come back.

The room was clean and tidy, and the staff gave excellent service. It’s an old style hotel, which I liked. We were unlucky with our room, though, as it faced the cleaning courtyard and the washing machine kept spinning throughout the day. Without that noise, I’d have given it five stars.

We got great value for money here. The hotel was clean and modern, and the location worked perfectly for us. When there was a mix-up with our booking, the staff were understanding and helpful. Sorry about the confusion, and thanks again.

We arrived at night and couldn’t find anyone there. They didn’t answer through Booking either. Later, we realized they’d emailed a link to check in, but it required a €90 security deposit. A week later, we still hadn’t received it back. The room was dirty, and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest slept there.
