La Cueva Park

The hotel has a lovely pool and is close to Jerez airport, and the front desk staff were wonderful. I had roasted pork shoulder and octopus with potatoes at the restaurant, and the food was good, though the staff there seemed less enthusiastic. There’s no airport shuttle. One taxi driver charged me $35 and another $25, so I’d ask the fare in advance. They were on time, though.

The restaurant was good, though a bit expensive. We tried to order drinks, but the barman didn’t speak English, which led to some confusion. Please have them speak English.

The hotel is well located if you’re spending a lot of time at the Circuit of Jerez. Staff were helpful and friendly, and spoke good English. Our room and bathroom were spacious, with heating, a safe and lots of storage. The place could use some infrastructure updates. I can imagine it was wonderful a few years ago, but there was a gap between the windows, and the bathroom joints need attention too.

The pool was good, and the communal spaces were in decent shape, but the room felt tired. The hotel seemed quiet during the day and not especially busy, though there were lots of vehicles at night. We were there on a non-race day, but I assume the circuit was open for motorcycle track days that weekend. The place gave an impression of resting on former glory, and there didn’t seem to be many staff. At 7pm I was told I could get a drink in the bar or restaurant, but the barman ignored me and paid more attention to his coffee. The snack bar was better, and best at breakfast, when there were staff around. It took us about 25-30 minutes to drive to the old town centre, and the location seemed to confuse the sat nav, so our routes back from Jerez were quite circuitous.
