Mora Villas by Mimar

We stayed in Buganvilla, the villa with the BBQ and outdoor dining table. Its location was the main draw, along with its looks. We could use a transfer instead of renting a car, which suited me since I hate the whole rental pickup and drop-off process. El Albir and the beach are under a 10-minute walk away. The route back is quite steep, but our multi-generational group managed it fine, so it should be manageable for most people. Mimar Agency, which manages this and other properties, did a great job. I mostly dealt with Rania, who organized the transfers and bed layout and made sure everything was in order. When I mentioned that I’d been told there would be a Nespresso machine but couldn’t find one, Mimar arranged delivery the same day. The villa was ready with lots of useful things, including pool towels, toiletries, hand soap, kitchen roll, ice cubes, and dishwasher tablets. There were drinks in the fridge, biscuits on the counter, and flowers on the dining table too. The BBQ was ready to use, though the grill was rusty, so bring foil. The four villas are spread across two buildings. Even with a fairly small shared pool, it never felt crowded. Noise insulation from neighboring villas was good, the air conditioning was quiet at night but strong enough for the hot weather, and the showers kept their pressure and hot water even when all seven of us were getting ready. A few things could be better. The broadband was poor, so don’t count on streaming. I often used my phone as a mobile hotspot. With seven people, one main bathroom and an en suite caused a bottleneck, and another bathroom on the ground floor would’ve helped.

There’s a ping pong table downstairs, and the house has three floors. The neighbors share the pool. Nice place!

Really nice place to stay in Albir 😃

The house itself is lovely, but there’s not much in the way of shared facilities. When we booked, nobody told us the barbecue was reserved for just one villa rather than being communal. The pool area has room for only eight sun loungers, even though the complex sleeps up to 32 people.
