Cool And Chic Hostel

It was a really amazing stay in a cozy place, well located and connected to the city. There are lots of supermarkets about 100m away. This would be a great hostel to choose for a comfortable stay, especially if you're arriving in Barcelona, Spain at El-prat.

Cool & Chic was okay for four nights in a private room. The WiFi was fast and it was clean, but the facilities were very basic. The beds were stiff, and hallway noise carried into the room. There wasn't a window either. The showers were a pain, with a button to press every five seconds. It's some distance from central Barcelona, though being close to the metro made getting around easy. They offer paid laundry, but I'd use a laundromat instead because their machine is small and much slower.

The metro is very close, though the hostel is near Nou Camp and a bit of a trek from the town center. Getting a taxi around here at night is difficult. For the price, it felt slightly overpriced. The rooms were average, and the shared washing areas needed better cleaning. Those push-button showers were irritating too, since they don't stay on long enough to wash and rinse properly without turning around to press again. I've stayed in far better places for far less.

Collblanc metro station is very close, with connections to the city center and the airport, so this works well for a night or daytime stop during a long layover. The bathrooms were clean, though keeping the shower running meant pressing a button over and over. I slept terribly because one guest talked loudly to himself all night, even after the other guests and the manager told him to stop or go sit in the lobby.
