Olala Urban Chill Apartments

The location made our Barcelona trip much easier, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby, bus stops just 1-2 minutes away, and the metro about 13 minutes on foot. The apartments were clean, spacious, and well maintained. Customer service was excellent throughout, and the team clearly cared about helping us. Juliana, the manager, was particularly helpful and shared her contact details on our first day so check-in would go smoothly. My only small suggestion is to have someone on staff overnight for immediate help. It didn't take away from our stay, and we're looking forward to coming back.

We travelled all the way to Barcelona as a family of six and ended up in one of the worst places we've ever seen. The apartment smelled strongly of sewage, and the sofa bed was broken, filthy, and stained. There was nowhere suitable to store our clothes and belongings, so it wasn't fit for a family, despite what the listing said. We contacted the host several times but got denial and generic replies; nobody came to help. Late in the evening, we were left out on the street with four children, desperately trying to find somewhere else to stay. Even though we couldn't stay there, the host refused any refund. The place was nothing like its photos or description. A totally unprofessional and unacceptable experience. Avoid it.

Things improved after we moved to an apartment on one of the top floors, and the stay was then good enough. But the first night, noisy neighbors were smoking weed and blasting music late at night. I called the police multiple times, and neither they nor the owners did anything. If you rent here, check that you aren't on a low floor. I wouldn't recommend those apartments.

We had no internet for three of our four days, which made it hard to plan and get around. On checkout day, we had to leave by 11 a.m. even though our flight wasn't until the evening. I asked about leaving our bags somewhere, but staff sent me to Olala support, whose reply came too late, so I carried everything around all day. Check-in was also delayed by an hour because the apartment wasn't ready for us. There was a terrible smell of ego, and I struggled to explain the problem to staff because of the language barrier. Taken together, these issues made the trip really disappointing, and I wouldn't be eager to recommend the apartment.
