We were after a relaxed, laid-back holiday, so we booked a Superior Cabin for €650 per week. It had everything we wanted except a KETTLE!!! We brought reclining chairs to sit on the grass by the pool, but that area was locked up, even though we knew the pool wasn’t open and it was too cold to swim anyway. When we asked where else there was a patch of grass to sit on, there was nowhere. They didn’t seem very interested in helping, maybe because it was out of season. It was 31c in the Sun that day and meant to get warmer. Maybe things come alive in summer, but the Shop and Restaurant were only just ticking over. If you want to sunbathe, don’t come in April/May.

The bungalow was clean and well equipped, and the staff were friendly, but we couldn’t sleep properly either night. People shouted, played loud music and the football game outside, while children screamed, from 23.00 until at least 1.30 am. The camping rules say it should be quiet from midnight. I called the night guard twice, with all the windows and blinds shut, but he didn’t do anything effective. Being able to sleep is the most important thing to me in accommodation, and both nights were stressful. We had rented a deluxe bungalow for 2 nights.

What makes this place special is the people who work here. They understand that guests may have driven a long way and arrive stressed after hours on the road. The service is very good, and there’s everything you need, including a restaurant and small shop. I also want to thank the other travellers for being so considerate, enjoying the sun quietly and keeping the noise down. Even the guy who came to check the electric crash was very nice. We’re coming from France, and I know I’m repeating myself, but I hope this camping stays authentic for travellers. France could learn from it.

The site was almost empty, probably because the pool closes 15th September. Don’t bother coming after then. Sometimes I wonder whether the Spanish want to be successful.

The toilets and showers were decent and clean, and I’m glad there is a campsite here at all. Still, €26,80 for one night with a small tent and two persons seemed quite expensive. They scan passports, and there’s a pile of contracts to sign. The place has little shade, with pebbly ground that isn’t great for tents, and the drinking water tastes awful. The campsite is full of houses with only men, which is fine, but didn’t give me a good vibe. The swimming pool is open only in summer months.
